No Hunting Purple

People in Texas who are used to being out and about on rural property know about purple paint and what it means. The rest will find out soon enough.

It's mentioned in most Hunting Safety classes. And many organizations such as the TSCRA educate their members from time to time.

My neighbor, his son, and his dad have farmed and hunted all over this area for years and none of them had heard of it till I brought it up.
It is good to know that it is in the hunting classes.

Sounds like they should take a hunter safety course.

I wonder if their property is fenced or if they have ever had trouble with trespassers? A lot of property owners go their entire lives enjoying the quiet use of their property and have never had problems to where they would pay any attention to 創o trespassing signs or paint.

Although you might get a different impression for TBN threads sometimes. :laughing:

Edit: I壇 like to put in a plug for Texas and OK rural landowners to check out joining the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. Great organization with a lot of good informative resources available to members.

The more I think about this purple thing the funnier it gets. I think if I were to paint my gate posts and parts of my gate purple - the neighbors would probably call the men with the white straight jackets.

Just be sure to paint your house and barn a bright green. That will make a nice picture.

"This is as serious as it gets",,,,,,,,,,,,, I'd say right now in Maine the right color is orange. The Maine Game Wardens wont say if this women was wearing orange or not, why?, ether she was or she wasn't, but then again the hunter better not say, oh I thought I saw a deer.......
