No More Emails

The last 30 days or so I no longer am on the email notification of posts I have responded to or new subjects I have initiated. I have the block checked to ask for that. What am I doing wrong or is there something wrong with the system.

Over on DSLReports, there was a blurb about GMail changing their spam rules and that some auto emails systems are now flagged as spam..

I think is what happens is the posts you made prior to changing the settings to stop e-mails continue and will continue as long as that thread remains active. Your posts in new threads after you changed setting will not go to e-mail notifications

Well, I contacted TBN and they stated that the email for posts is a different server than their web site. They denied any responsibility for the problem and blamed it on my email server and/or browser. They also stated some servers do block those type emails notably AOL. I have another email provider so I changed my TBN address to that one and it now works like normal. Confirms the problem was not TBNs; however, in todays high tech world I do not understand why things cannot be made to work universally. I am having other problems with my email server so will quiz them on what they did to change their system. I have a friend who is tech savvy as I am not. If he would not have been handy I would have deleted my participation in TBN as it became too frustrating. Mohammed take note; KEEP it SIMPLE for us non-techers or you will lose us.

AOL has shall we say abnomal ways of handling emails and if you ask them, the problem is ALWAYS someone else...
