no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

My local dealer said there's no more Zetor 4341 models in the USA till Spring '05.

I'm waiting cause they'll offer R4 industrial tires and hopefully tilt/telescoping steering when they arrive.

The new 102Sl loader is self leveling and a strong loader.
All for around $26K with loader.

Zetor is taking over USA distribution from American Jawa; so there will be one less middleman between the factory and the dealers. Zetor hopes to hold down prices with the new setup and balance off rising steel prices.

Re: no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

My dealer in Upsala, MN has a 6341 with tilt on the lot.

I dont know the details of the tier II 3 cyl turbos in the newest 4341's but my tier I 4 cyl 4341 has a 3000 psi injector pump.

The new GM's & Ford diesel pickups have 30,000 psi injectors. This order of magnitude pressure increase leads to an order of magnitude decrease in filtration pass thru from 10 to 1 micron. My neighbor has a cummins Dodge PU where the dealer replaced the injection system under warranty. Dealer strongly recommended adding 1 micron fuel filtration capability. He ignored suggestion & now needs to replace system again > this time out of warranty $5000 expense.

The question is is your fuel source, storage & delivery methods ready for Tier II cleanliness?

Where are you from? Did you want a cab or ROPS?

Re: no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

Thanks for the info. I didn't know Zetor was changing the engine to turbo 3 cyl and the info on fuel and injector pressure is new to me. Thanks.

I'm not sure I want this 1st run of new engine design.

I was looking for platform and I'm in Massachusetts but I may rethink this a little.

I'm not a farmer but was looking for the lowest cost loader that can load stonewalls/fieldstone into dumptrucks or roll-off containers to ship to masons.

A skidsteer may be cheaper and more stable (lower center of gravity).I saw those roll-over tests (eye opener) on tractors.

The good thing about the tractor and Zetor is the 3-point hitch where I could build a box to carry 3 ton of stone plus the stone in the loader bucket is a lot to carry. Skidsteer can't do that. Thanks.

Re: no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

There are some 4341's coming in this next shipment, they have 4 cylinder engines, and are not turboed, the new model that is going to replace this tractor is a 6441 Proxima, which will have a tier 2 engine from the Forterrra, which has been out for several years, and is also 4 cylinder

Re: no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

This 3cyl turbo engine is presented for more years in fork lifts, just not in tractors. So, don't worry about it /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just a remind: new EuroII engines are more thirsty than old ones, as have later injection timing and they burn cooler.

Re: no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

I've been digging rocks this past summer with my Zetor. I looked at skid steer as well. 2 problems with SS. 1 No ground clearance gets hung up in the field easily, short wheel base also gets stuck easier & cannot crab itself out. 2 skids instead of turns really tears up the turf

Re: no more Zetor 4341 till Spring \'05

If you have a Case IH dealer nearby you might want to check out their JX series tractors. They have sizes ranging from 42-80 PTO Horsepower and are very reasonably priced. I am a new dealer in Connecticut and am anxiously awaiting our first JX. It is on the truck and headed our way. Good Luck! Tractorman

Thanks for all the info. I'd really be in the dark without TBN!
