I've got a new (under a year) Woods BH80x with subframe mount on my NH TC33D. I had it off the tractor for a few months and when I went to hook it up I find that I have almost no hydraulics power on the backhoe. I can get the the tractor's hydraulics, which are working fine for the front end loader. I probably made the mistake of storing it with the outriggers in the upright position, and I saw that after a few months they had dropped a bit towards the ground.

I tried checking for pressure on the quick connects' nipples but didn't find any, they oozed a bit when I checked but not under pressure. I did check the hydraulic dipstick on the tractor, saw it was low and added fluid but still get nothing on the backhoe. Any ideas on what might be wrong and how to correct it?

Check your couplers for complete connections.
Check your connections to be sure they are not reversed.
Do you have a power beyond connection, or do you use a rear remote?

Did you push the lever to activate the spool that feeds the BH?

Plug a hyd gage into the QD you used before stowage and see if you have any pressure.

If so, check the QD like Rick said.

If you had the outriggers up, and they were down later, then you probably sucked some air, and you will need to operate the cyl to expel the air.

OK. It took a while but I got both outriggers and the boom raised all the way, going about 1/4" a minute, and added a little more fluid. After that everything returned to normal. I'll be sure to keep that from happening next time I store it. Thanks for the suggestions.

After storing my Woods BH90X for a year I have a single "no power" problem. One of my outriggers will not power. All other hydraulics on the BH work fine. This is problematic in that I can't manipulate the BH to attach (and run!) with only one outrigger. There is no puddle of hydraulic fluid or leaking when under pressure. Backhoe doesn't have too many hours on it (maybe a hundred) but is about 4 years old. I've never worked on hydraulics before . . . so any suggestions on what I should do and have in store for me would be greatly appreciated.

Did the outriggers leak down over the time it was stored?

You may have air in the cyl, so keep operating the cyl to purge the air.

If that does not work, try and see where the fluid is going when you operate the lever, maybe even removing the work port hoses to check flow.

Thank you. I will hope for the air in cyl problem and hope repeated operation will help it cure itself. . . .
