no power to fuel pump 755 compact

i've used a voltage test light to try and track the power to my fuel pump i get voltage to certain points along the harness but nothing to any of the fuel system
the pto lever is disengaged? I went to the connections on the pump at the top of the fuel tank and don't think I ave ant power there stumped and need to mow !!!

After you check the fuse then test the fuse socket to make sure power is getting to the fuse.

Do you have a multi-meter? You need to test the voltage drop from the fuse to the fuel pump or tank connections.
A multi-meter can be used to test the fuel pump to see if the pump is bad.
Most likely a bad wire somewhere in the harness.

Try unplugging the ignition switch and plug it back in. My 855 had a loss of power to the starter a while back and everything was checking out. I unplugged the ignition switch to jump across the contacts there and all the wiring checked good. When I plugged it back in and all was well again.
