First, thanks to all for the suggestions. I intend to save some of the contacts information.
Here is some additional information. A friend had borrowed my tiller and when returning it on a trailer, over about ten miles of country roads, the tractor end of the shaft went bye bye. He had forgotten to secure it. He called TSC and was told "Sure we have a replacement." So he went and purchased it, brought it by, only to find, as mentioned above, it was a solid square not tubular. So, now he had several more hours and miles, in addition to the ones spent searching the side of the roads, invested and no success.
While I was assisting in the search, both on the side of the roads and online, the friend, who was schedule for knee replacement surgery this week, just ordered a new complete shaft from KK through TSC. He brought it by Saturday and we put it on and we both have marked the whole mess as "an educational experience."
Part of my search included contacting Agri Supply. They were very helpful, even contacted KK, but unable to supply what was needed.
I talked to my friend this morning telling him now that he has about ¼ as much invested in the tiller as I do (I purchased used), he's welcomed to borrow it anytime, as long as he remembers to secure the PTO shaft prior to hauling.
