I am borrowing a Gator 6x4 gas, mid 1990's model with the Kawasaki V-Twin, and it died (I hate borrowing equipment just for this reason) and will not start back up for me. The carb is getting fuel all of the time and it is new gas. I had the dealer test both coils and they said they both tested out good. The coils are getting the 12v feed whenever I turn the key on but they just are not sending out a spark. I am not exactly sure how the sparked is timed but I am assuming that the magnets on the flywheel and sensors mounted above the flywheel open the circuit in the coil allowing it to arc when it hits the proper location. It actually died several times on me but would eventually start up again but not this time. I have checked all of the electrical connections for moisture and that does not seem to be the problem, I even set up a small heater underneath the Gator to help bake out moisture. Any help figuring out this problem would be great.
Thanks,
Daniel
