Replace the entire cable from chassis ground bolt to battery negative post connector. Coat all in anti corrosive grease like copper anti-sieze and use the felt washers under the battery post clamps and then spray battery protecting spray on ALL terminals, and the battery ground bolt on the chassis. Check regularly and correct any damage.

I second the copper anti-sieze. I used it on the ground cable and bolt to the frame. Also used the felt washers under the battery post clamps along with spraying them with the dark red/purple protection spray. It's been 6 years since doing that. I always give them a check during normal service but no problems/corrosion.

Atta boy! It is the ONLY way to keep corrosion at bay on these machines. And it WORKS great!:thumbsup:
I use this method on all my vehicles and it prevents premature death to batteries, cables, wiring, etc.
