3-Point Hitch Noise from rear lift

Hi, my Ford 1120 has today started to make, what I can best describe as a crunching or ratchetting sould from the rear lift. I have a 200kg slasher fitted to the back and it hasn't been an issue previously. The sound continues untill there is a small drop (couple of inches) in the level of the 3PL, it then seems to rebuild pressue and lift to its original position, this happens about every 15 seconds. There is a small leak out of the hydraulic lift pump, but there always has been and I dont think that would explain the ratchetting sound. I assume its the lift cylinder that is making the sound, but I have no idea how the cylinder works, its internal.

I pulled tbe rear lift hydraulic valve off the tractor (traced the noise to this part) cleaned it out, new o-rings and gaskets and reinstalled. Problem fixed.
