I never said that I won't do your warranty work. I said that I will respect the customers that chose to do business with me before I choose to help someone that lives on my same street and drives 2 states away to save a $1000..

You certainly did.
let me quote it AGAIN for you.

You don't buy from me and go somewhere to save a few dollars and then want warranty work, take it back where you bought it.

And apparantly you make too much money because if $1000 is only a "few dollars" to you, that's ridiculous. I wouldn't overpay for a house for $1000 much less a tractor.
Don't worry, you'll do fine
for a while
then your customer base will disappear.
it's not 1975 anymore, the world has changed, perhaps you might want to rethink your policies.

Brian, you had a terrible dealer experience so I know why you feel the way you do but I would pay a little more to deal with my local dealer. You can not put a price on a good working relationship with your dealer. My tractor goes down I get another off. If something breaks down their mechanics will stay late to get me back in the field that night. If I have a question I have multiple people there who know thier equipment that I can talk to and get an actual answer.

Now I will pay more at times but I also get great prices on other items so it all evens out. Not all dealers are as bad as yours and if you had a great dealer you might have a different view on this subject.

I still have a Ford 8210 sitting in my yard because my 7710 is in my dealers shop. I don't need the tractor but they want me to keep it just in case I need it until my tractor is fixed.

Being that the TT's are their "Lean and Mean" line I think you might find less variation in price and room to bargain among dealers, although I don't know for sure. If you dedide to shop around, let us know what you find. Good luck.

I am in the market for a TT60A and am getting quotes from my local dealer, but have also had people tell me to get quotes from dealers in more rural areas to find better deals, have many of you found better deals outside your local area, and was it a substantial savings after shipping it? I'm located on the west coast, if anyone has suggestions on dealers feel free to pm me. Thanks!

PS- I will of course dutifully post pics of my new tractor once I get her :)

I talked to a local dealer about price differentials and he told me that sometimes on certain model tractors NH will offer better discounts or programs. He used an example of a TD tractor, if it was below a certain serial number, it recieved 0% for 60 mo, above that serial number it was 0% for 36 or something like that, I forget.

So, does that make the dealer who is holding a old machine on his lot a good guy and the guy that is able to keep his inventory current (maybe by offering honest prices and service) a crook?
