I'm a hydraulic dummy...

What's the easiest way to add top and tilt to my 5045D (w/553 loader)? I did not opt for the joystick on my tractor, only the standard package. I'd like to be able to install myself. Is there a "plug and play"? Thanks!!

I've searched, and all I do is get myself confused!

One of the best answers that I've seen on TBN about the "easiest way to install hydraulics" was to pay the dealer to do it... but you said you wanted to do it... talk to the dealer and see if there is a kit that you can buy.

It will be expensive but usually the fit and finish are top notch (besides you didn't mention keeping it cheap, just easy :D)

As teg suggests, there are several single and dual selective valve kits available from your JD dealer. Before putting together your own system (a daunting task for a hyd newb), I'd check with your JD dealer. Their kits are expensive, but also elegant and supported by all JD dealers, shops, and their spare parts systems. If you have warranty left, those kits will not void any warranties either.
