I have a Kubota BX25 with about 80 Hrs. Lately when I start to lift the bucket there is a delay from the time the arms move before the bucket moves. I raised the bucket and can rock the bucket, a inch or two at the cutting edge. Some of the play is in the pin at the top of the cylinder. Is this normal?

Have you ever greased it?

How much of the play is in the pins and how much is in the cylinder (rod moving in and out of the cylinder). Play in the cylinder would be air in the system. Does your loader valve have regen? If so, use that when dumping and it will keep the air out

I have about one inch of play - half inch up/half inch down. Mine is all in the pins and arms - not in the hydraulic cylinders. I grease mine at least monthly.

Check your hydraulic fluid level- that can slow things down if you are low.
