The heavy weapons are ready for what's coming next.

When I changed the oil on the T1530 I found the engine heater I didn't know it had when I bought her. Nice surprise!

I had heard that this year was going to be a record mild winter for Canada. Hopefully that will be reflected in the lower 48.

I'm hoping for a hard winter here in the PNW. We haven't had a 'normal' winter since 2008/9 and even that one wasn't such a much. Had drought conditions since last spring with creeks and springs drying up.

Unfortunately milder generally means more snow and possibly more sleet and or freezing rain.
I for one plan on having sand and salt on hand for that eventuality.

Only thing that will get switched around here is coolant in the allis Chalmers wd45 and the farmall h. Need to drain gas out of the garden tractors and mowers. Then pin on the plow for the plow truck

Then get the new tractor home

A coworker told me last week that tractors are meant for piling snow, but aren't any good for plowing. (He has a 200 foot driveway which he used to plow with an ATV before buying a plowtruck.)

I was tempted to print off a pic of my parent's place and show him all of the driveway and parking area which my father kept clear for decades... never mind all of the greenhouses he kept pushing the snow away from.

Im holding off with getting out the snow equipment here in north idaho. Im hoping for heavy winter, as we really need the snow pack. If it snows real hard, ill stay home and wont work till spring. It will be a win win

Maybe one more run with the MMM here in west central NH before servicing that & putting it up for the winter, then getting the front mount snowblower out and putting that on. Most all leaves now off the trees, but a few more to clean up first. (Then there's the snow tires for the cars….)

Nice stretch of really warm (60+F), sunny weather here for the past few and next few days! Might use the outside fireplace for one more go before dismantling that, using the FEL to put the stones & logs away for the winter. Yep, getting to be that time of year again….

Still darn glad I bought my little red beast 8 years ago!!

I scored a dirt moving and driveway leveling job, as a result I am not putting my blower on until the end of November.
