Novice, but determined

My name is Sam McPherson and I live in Joelton, TN (part of Metro Nashville-Davidson County). I have 12.3 acres of rolling land, and up until 8/28/12 had a nice farm-style home on it. Fire destroyed it along with the Mahindra 2810 tractor with about 175 hours on it that I used mainly for mowing and moving a little dirt.

I will soon start building a new house on the property and was considering replacing the Mahindra with a slightly higher HP. The tractor was great for my purposes and very well built. I had a 72-inch finish mower and a 60-inch backhoe along with a 60-inch front end loader. The mower and backhoe survived.

Was considering getting a unit with a backhoe, but wondered if it would be relatively easy to dismount the BH to used the mowers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PURCHASED 2012 Foton TE354 (4 cyl, 35 HP, 4WD) with TZ350 FEL and LW7 backhoe in 2013. Design of loader sitting too low on the frame limits turning radius and has caused three broken articulated front axles costing about $300 each to replace. My current problems -- after hopefully resolving a problem with water in the diesel fuel because of a bad filler cap -- is an erratic electrical system, and I suspect the voltage regulator. Can run well for awhile, but then lag out to a stop and won't restart. All instruments on the panel flick up and down erratically, including the fuel gauge, which hasn't worked for a few years, which stops on "full" tank that is actually less than quarter fuel. Try as I may, I cannot locate the regulator to check condition. Any ideas where I can find it?
