I just purchased an early Kubota L4200 and found out I cannot add a mid-pto to it. Then I heard about a front pto kit from kubota- FP72-A. Does anyone know if they can be installed on a L4200, or done it themselves? I'm trying to set up a front mount snow blower. Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't know about the front pto, but there are front mount snow throwers that run off the rear PTO. They have a gearbox and shaft that runs under the tractor. If you search the forum you'll find references to them.

Like Beez said. They have setups that run off the rear pto with a bunch of gears and a shaft that runs the whole length of the tractor so you can runa front mounted blower. Pretty complicated set up but not craning your neck all the times a big advantage.

Erskine makes those rear PTO driven snow blowers.Seem to be pretty decent units.
