Novice Tractor Mechanic

I hope I have something to give back, as I do not have a mechanical background. I appreciate any help. My current problem is with my 2005 Kubota 2800. It dies after running a few minutes, I read online on another site how to bleed the fuel injector lines, which I did, it still dies. I read last night, on another site, about the switch timer, at $75. Anyone faced this problem yet? Thanks.

Thank you for the welcome. I posted this in the owner operator kubota forum. My apologies for the post under introductions. In reply, yes I changed the filter then bled air as orange tractor talks com suggested.

With a diesel engine; that normally indicates a problem in the fuel system somewhere unless there is a timing problem. Does the 2800 have a booster pump and a filter between it and the injector pump. The booster may have sluffed off something and plugged the second filter. If the 2800 is any thing like the BXs like I have; the booster pump is underneath close to the first filter. You will see two wires coming out of can that looks similar to a filter. Trace the line up to the injector pump and you will find a second filter under the cowling. You should hear the booster pump running when you turn on the switch before you engage the starter. LOL, hope it is not the injector pump as they get pricey. If you want to do your own work, reccomend you get the operator manual and the Work Shop Manual. Well worth their price.
