It takes two men and a monkey to move my BearCat chipper in and out of the corner where I store it. I made a set of caster thingys for it that I can slide into the frame when it is time to put it away. Now I can move the chipper around pretty easy. A good mud season putter project.

Clever and not tools required... good idea.

Great, great idea. Have the same chipper.... Perhaps you could start making these for a fee
I have built a few platforms with casters for a few of my implements, but have yet to do so for my chipper. Wish I had a welder and the knowledge to use it.

Great idea gord! I've got this model with the blower and it is a bear to move(pun intended).

Nicely done!
I have the Woods version (same chipper, different paint). These weigh right around 450 lbs (without the blower option) and are awkward. I built a dolly for mine, but those caster wheels look even better...center of gravity would be an inch or so lower.

I used to move mine around also but it has the blower on it. It's a good way to hurt yourself. I was lucky enough to build a bigger shed so now it stays where I park it.

Mine has the blower too it is in the back on that photo and you are all right - it is not a light unit that is easy to drag and push around

Very creative and much better than a rolling platform.

I've a little reinforced plywood dolly that I sit my Mac on. Got castors or dollies for all the 3ph stuff except the back blade, which is light enough to drag around.

With the number of times I forget to raise the Mac, I'm thinking I should have a Big Wheel version of what you have. I've "aerated" my grass a number of places.
