I've read about wood gasification to power farm tractors during WWII in England when fuel supplies were non-existent.
I didn't look at the article date until it mentioned that Vega and Pinto carburetor were plentiful in junkyards.... :laughing:
Today, you'd be hard pressed to find any carburetors in junkyards, as most vehicles use some form of fuel injection for the past what? 25 years?
