NX Options (or lack thereof)

/ NX Options (or lack thereof) #31
I am looking to buy an NX4510 before the current incentives expire at the end of this month (free loader worth $5,600). My dealer quoted me $300 for each additional remote and $850 for a 3rd function, all including installation. I am pretty sure that the first (factory) remote has float. I am going to call tomorrow on whether the others can float or not. I thought that those were very good prices and I don't see a good reason to do it myself. FYI, I spent about $600 at Surplus Center adding two remotes to my Mahindra 3616.

$300 is a good price for each additional pair of remote valves. So is $850 for the new Kioti 3rd function, installed. Local dealer here just charged a buddy $450 to add a pair of remotes, and $850 for the Kioti 3rd function, to a new DK5310SE HST cab prior to delivery. Now's the time to have this stuff done, as you probably know.

NB: Unless Kioti has changed the valve design recently, none of the remotes on your new NX will float. Good news is that, when you go to add top 'n tilt cylinders, this makes it very easy to decide whether to get them with double-piloted check valves in order to prevent gradual but annoying leak-down as you work. Answer is yes, as there's going to be leakage in the remote valves on whatever brand of tractor you get. :)

I talked to my dealer this morning. Threepoint, I stand corrected: the remotes only come with detent, no float.

The dealer also said that the incentives will most likely be carries over as they have before. He is trying to locate a gear for me to test drive.
