I did find another topic for a DK45S, which may help: DK45S 4 wheel drive problem

I was getting stuck in sloppy areas and small inclines, unlike previously experienced with NX5510 or the newer NX5010 CAB. I thought rear wheels spinning but front wheels not. Then I noticed today that when backing up incline and rear wheels slipping, the front wheels were not. That tells me 4x4 not engaging. Lights on switch and dashboard are on.

I did not check the fuse - that comes next, as that tought came later. Manual page 7-41 (I put that here sometime ago), but I was already back home. Will also check for the solenoid wire, as per the other topic.

Tractor was new September 2018, at about 138 hours now. Anyone else had this problem - and solutions? We have a great dealer but some distance away. This forum is great for sharing problems and solutions, so I will update once resolved.

Check the electrical plug on the valve under the cab on the right side of the transmission, could have pulled it loose on a stick or something.

Thanks! Fuse AOK, lots of wires under tractor, not very well protected. Some labelled, many not. Hard to tell which is 4x4. Maybe one with lever in pic? In the end, disconnected and reconnected each wire. Now working - yahoo ! To test, put bucket down on wet grass, lifted front wheels off ground and creeped forward/backward. Front wheels responded. Update on this issue. Egger Truck (the dealer) made a service call as the unit still has 16 months in 2 year warranty. The 4x4 works for about an hour at the start of any day and then dies.

They checked:

- electrical, all okay, even had power when 4x4 had stopped
- there is a diode where the wires connect, it was okay as well, in case others don't know about that
- did a pressure test on the hydraulics at the solenoid

In the end, it had to go to their shop as they could not fix it at the farm. I believe that they have linked the problem to a "O Ring" (must be like the shuttle!) within the solenoid control. You can hear the hydraulic oil moving after the 4x4 stops working.

I don't have it back yet, or a report on the problem details, so I will update this again later. Great dealer though, they brought another Kioti for me to use while they had mine in the shop, PLUS a Kioti Mechron for me to play with during the service. Now that is an outstanding dealer!

Final Report on Issue:

The "O" Ring in the solenoid was split and Egger reported it was split when it left the factory. Sounds to me as if it was "pinched" and as the unit and hydraulic oil heated up it failed. Once it cooled down it would work again. It has been repaired and now works perfectly! :dance1:

Thanks for the follow-up! Hard to think that something so simple is so critical to proper operation.
