I am trying to hook up a post driver to my tractor. The fill port on my tractor is not in a place that is easy to tie the return from the driver to. Would a nylon hose barb hold up to the hydraulic system? It shouldn't have to hold any real pressure.

It will probably be OK, but may get brittle in time and break. Home Cheapot-Lowes-and TSC should have brass ones that would be better in the long run I think.

I agree with Kenny.
A nylon barb should work but not only could it get brittle, it could get busted off easily too in case you bump it or whatever. You can get all kinds of barb fittings at Discount Hydraulics. I recommend using the steel ones shown here.
