O-rings on hyd. screen - GC2300

I'm getting ready to change my hydraulic fluid in the GC2300 and wanted to have an O-ring or two on hand in case either or both of the ones on the screen need replaced. My dealer can't tell me what size the O-rings are; can any of you GC2300 owners?

Just a note. If you need an o-ring, it would be a very rare thing.

Chances may be slim, but I still wouldn't mind having an extra on hand. Anyone know what size? Thanks.

i would change all o-rings that dont require extra work to get to.

It is difficult for me to understand why your dealer can't find a part number for an o-ring. The dealer should be able to pull any part to your tractor up on a computer. Unbelievable !!!

If your GC2300's spin on filter is on the suction side, you may not have a screen to have a o-ring on.

44trxfun- I agree with Jerry, unless you somehow damage the o-ring when you remove the screen there is not much to go wrong with it. I just changed the oil in my 1240 and the screen O-ring is simply a static seal, no movement to cause wear. Sometimes there is more risk in trying to do things too good.

You shouldn't need to replace the o-ring for many years. The dealer can order the o-ring for you. If you don't want to buy one from the dealer, you can measure it yourself when you change the filter and pick one up locally for a spare. It might be difficult though because they are metric.

That's what he's trying to do but he can't get the dealer or anyone else to tell him the part number for the O-ring.
