Just did the 50 hour maintenance on my BX2350 and thought I'd drop a line on some things I found interesting:
1. The engine cowling is easier to remove, but harder to reinstall by yourself due to lining up some tabs on the operator end.
2. Noticed that there is no longer a threaded port in the block for the block heater I need to install before winter...
I'll be removing a freeze plug.
3. The strainer on the tranny has an all-new design. On my 2200 I had to worry about an o-ring and a tube..and to clean it I had to remove the rear tire. Not so with the 2350, it has a small clamp you remove and once you initially break the paint seal
the tube slides right out, no need to remove the tire. The oring is captured on the tube itself, no need to worry about losing it or damaging in on reinstallation.
4. In contrast to my 2200 at the 50hr, no shavings at all, just what looked like a little bit of sealant material...wiped right off the strainer.
5. Capacities were right on the money according to the manual.
6. The location of the fill for the transmission is MUCH more convenient. It was very easy to fill compared to the pain-in-the-butt fill point on the 2200.
