On a shopping trip to Oneonta this week, I drove by several tractor dealers, and I always take a few seconds to observe what they have on their lots. It's been years since I have seen so many tractors, and honestly I don't know if I ever have seen this many CUTs on these lots in all the years I have driven past them.
This time of year can't be a big selling time in upstate NY, and if inventory is this way all over the place, this might be the time to really get serious for anyone looking for a new tractor. I would think dealers would be in a state of near panic to sell right now, I should have taken pictures but didn't think of it. The number of tractors on the lot of the MF dealer was easily more than I have ever seen there. The NH dealer was very well stocked, as was the Deere dealer. Only the Kubota dealer looked maybe just a little more than what's usually on the lot. There are a couple of other much smaller dealers or satellites, not sure which, in Oneonta, and they had more tractors than I have ever observed as well, though in in their case it was only a matter of 8-12 or so.
I would certainly think this would be a time you might be able to get a better deal than has been around the past couple years when tractors on these lots were much fewer.
