My new Axis P5655-E has been up on the tower in front of the house for a few weeks now and I am still in the process of checking it out. I was scanning and panning yesterday and saw this helicopter so I continued to follow it with the camera. Nothing that dramatic.

Wow.....that Torbay airport has sure changed a lot since 1965!

Probably older .......80 !
USN pilot.
Flew the RC-121 Super Connie, based at Argentia.
Often did training approaches/landings at Torbay and Gander.
Loved my time in Nfld!

What height is your tower? Pole or tri leg or something else? I have 6 ptz in the air , 2 are Axis. My tallest is 106 ft and then 75 and 40ft. All in pursuit of the bald eagles nest in front yard. I have trouble with wind shaking the towers. With ptz in full zoom, it doesn't take much to shake the picture. calm day, it's great. what your purpose for ptz? security? I get top of hat shots with mine.

NFO here. Had some flights in an EC-121 while getting my wings after AELW school at Glynco in '71. Went on to fly in EKA-3Bs and EA-6Bs. Retired after 20 active duty.

I left Argentia in 1965, and went to VQ-2 in Rota.
Flew the EC-121 there too, but the squadron also had eleven EA-3B's.
Left the USN in '67 to fly for Northwest -33 years.
