I know that this is seriously off topic, but there is a silent killer in our midst that most people are not aware of.
It is Hepatitis C, a cause of death for more people than cancer, yet it recieves almost no publicity and carries quite a stigma. It attacks your liver, leading to cirrhosis.
If you were ever exposed to anyone else's blood, you owe it to yourself and your family to get tested. (simple blood test).
It is called the silent killer because it almost always exhibits no symptoms until it is too late.
I found out myself by mistake when I applied for some life insurance.
I know that this is not the place for this discussion, but you guys sound like you are in about the same age group (40-50) and we are very much at risk.
Since we all enjoy our toys so much, I don't want to see any of us deprived of any seat time by some nasty little virus.
Please, think back. And if you have the slightest notion that you were ever exposed to anyone's blood, however slight, please get tested. They also test when you give blood so you could get two birds with one stone, for free.
Thank you, and I won't post here about this again. It's just too important to ignore, or be quiet about.
This post could save your life.
