Oh I want this drill press

just across the water, 30 miles maybe.....
It is the way it came, the auto feed is worn out, I think that new babbit on the belt feed for the down will rectify that. the worm gear lifts and disengages.

This is more my speed, She'll do a 2" twist drill without grunting. I found it on craigslist two weeks ago for 300 bucks, I just can't see these ole giants go to scrap when they have many more hole drilling in them.

My 21 yr. old son is a huge Keith Fenner fan and was inspired by his Sibley. He finally found one on Craigslist and just finished a full restoration on his old Sibley camelback drillpress. What a chunk of old iron! They don't make 'em like that any more. He is still looking for a motor, what are you running on your's?

My brother has a drill press very much like that one, he has had it for many years and it still works perfectly...

Mines a bit newer and has all gear drive with a shift able transmission, the huge table is nice too,

It easily powers it's way through anything I've ever wanted to drill a hole in,

I don't use it a lot, but when I need it, it's pretty handy!

I can't think of one way the modern version isn't better, OTHER than the purchase price...

It does things that the old DP's had not even thought of, back in their day...
