Is there a practical reason for not installing a good paper filter air cleaner. They do as good or better job than an oil bath and you don't have the mess of an oil bath to contend with. I am not familiar with CC127 but if that is it in your avatar, I don't think there is enough room to put an oil bath anywhere under the hood (they take a lot of room) and it would be pretty obnoxious tacked onto the side.
Does your cc have a Briggs or kohler engine? This will determine if you can use oil bath. I am a collector of both and use oil bath on Briggs and kohler! Cub cadet did not use oil bath on there kohler engines but did use them on there castiron Briggs in the early years. Can you post the eng. model and serial number and I will look to see if that is application you need..

I read years age that oil bath filters were better than paper but not positive on that. Personally, I would go with paper filters and if you still wanted something with oil get one of those foam outer filters with a very light mist of oil.
