Anyone know what size socket it takes to take the drain plugs out of a 4035. And is it necessary to remove the PTO cover to get a wrench or socket to take the plugs out?

Thanks
TJ

I assume you mean hydraulic fluid and not engine oil? Which 4035; HST, Shuttle, or PowerShuttle?

I asked the same question. I can't remember for sure but i think it was a 21mm. But it ended up not mattering. I could not get it to clear the sides of the nuts. A simple old crescent wrench is the tool of choice.

did you have to take the shield off? I couldn't get a crescent wrench in there either.

No. I was able to get just enough of a bite with the crescent to make it work. The design/location of those nuts is ridiculous.

I too used a crescent wrench with success.
