3 weeks ago I changed the oil and it's due again on the L39.

50 hours come too quick. I'm not running the l39 through a dusty field at max rpm full load so what does everyone think about 75 or 100 hour oil changes?

My excavator service interval is 200 hours. What is the difference in a TLB's operation and service interval?

The best way to extend your oil change interval safely is to start doing UOA's (used oil analysis). With a UOA program you only change the oil when it needs to be changed.

The owners manual on my L2800 and my previous B7500 had 100hr oil changes.

Our L-39 calls for 100 hour engine oil changes and that's what we've been giving it these last 600 hours, all Amsoil 10W-40 Full Syntheitc.

Been using Amsoil Synthetic Hydraulic Fluid on the GST tranny every 400 hrs to.

Your machines will last longer than you will!

350 hard hours on my beast. Skypup, do you notice any improverd performance with the Synethetic hydraulic fluid?

I I've been using shell Rottella and SUDT
And what are the NAPA filter numbers again?

Thanks, Mike.

Mike, ther real need for the hydraulic fluid in the L-39 is no so much synthetic, but multigrade. The SUDT and the Amsoil Hydraulic fluids are both multigrade 10-20 viscosities, the SUDT is not synthetic but the Amsoil is. Either one will be good for 400 hours, the synthetic may have a little more resilence in either extreme hot or cold environments compared to the SUDT, but Kubota's own peer reviewed SUDT publication in the American Auotmotive Engineering Societies publication showed it works well down to -20*c.

In my experience, they both work excellent with zero drawbacks. I did try UDT once in my L-3130 GST and it was absolutely awful on the tranny and shifts, immediately took it out and replaced with SUDT at that time.

I think your Shell Rotella T 5W-40 and SUDT is plenty good.

I think you read your manual wrong. 50hours is the first change after that it should be 200 hours almost all Kubota products are that way. Lookee here
Kubota Tractor USA - Quick Reference Schedule

Correcto! The PRESENT chart for those "L" series tractors ( and also the B2630 and B3030) state FIRST change at 50...the next at the 200 hr mark...and then every 200 hrs!

That is a Kubota Generic chart not for a specific model. Could be for a lawn mower. Says to check manual that came with tractor which I did and it says oil every 100 HOURS and filter every 200 HOURS.
