Help! I have an LK3054, Kioti 33 horse tractor and need to change the oil. There is a bad picture in the manual; I don't see where to drain the oil on the bottom of the engine. There are two hex bolts on the bottom of the engine; in the picture it looks like there should be something on the left side, bottom (if you're sitting on the tractor).

While I am not familiar with your particular tractor, most will have 2 oil pans on each side of the tunnel where the front driveshaft will go through. The 2 hex bolts hanging down are most likely the drain plugs for both pans. On my Kioti they have a bit of orange paint on their heads to help find them. get your drain pan ready and take out both bolts and let the oil flow.. it helps to pull the dipstick back or take off the oil filler plug up on the engine to allow air to enter the engine to displace the oil as it drains out. Good Luck

Thank you James! There is orange paint to mark drain bolts, but I didn't realize there are two oil pans. Your answer really helps!

WELCOME, I see you already got your question answered. My first tractor was a Kioti 3054 it gave me many hours of GOOD seat time. Hope you enjoy yours as much.

When you go to reinstall the drain plugs make sure to NOT overtighten them! This is often a problem with the drain bolts, if over torqued they may not be removable without pan damage. This comes from my dealer's head tech.
Snug, then 1/4 turn past- no more than that.

It's not really two oil pans. The oil pan is shaped like a saddle bag to make a tunnel for the front driveshaft. There is however two oil drain plugs as mentioned and both need removed to get all the oil out.

Thank you all for the info. I just signed up today - what a help! Clearly I am no mechanic, trying to do more and more of my own maintenance as I gain confidence. Reliable mechanical support is hard to find - and I like doing what I can. Does anyone know of a better book for the LK3054? Alexandra

Welcome. I too have an LK3054. I bought it brand new 11 years ago. I now have 425 hours on it and it still is like new! Never had any major problems. One thing I will say, if yours is like mine, the glass site windows tend to pop out occasionally. That is the only pain in the rear about this tractor. Other than that, I would put it against any other brand tractor out there. Happy Tractoring!
