I want to pass along that I recently installed a Perma-Cool #69189 universal oil cooler on my YM2500 and that it fits and works fine (with a minor modification). One benefit is that using the kit lets you use common oil filters with a standard Toyota/Ford 3/4" thread. I'm using the shorter Bosch 3330 filter with my kit because of clearance issues with the power steering cylinder.

The kit includes a screw-on adapter sleeve that transitions the Yanmar filter nipple to the new size that needs to be shortened by 1/4" using a hacksaw and vise. A trial assembly of the cooler adapter to the engine block will make the modification clear.

The cooler itself fits right in front of the tractor's radiator with no problem.

Perma-Cool also makes a #69195 cooler kit that lets you move the filter to another location. Doing that would let you use an even larger oil filter like the common V8 Ford PH-8A or Bosch 3422.

I will say that my tractor runs a *lot* cooler with the added oil cooler when I'm pushing it to the limit when grading our road.
Being able to use more common oil filters was a bonus.
