Bought one of the $40 ones and it cracked. No luck returning it and the thread I posted about that whole story got deleted.

Anyway, I decided to make one from solid steel instead of the cast.

Its an adapter to use a normal spin on filter instead of the cartridge type with the separate outer housing

The center threaded adapter. Threads into the existing block threads and accepts the spin on filter on the other end.

The plate I made just directs the oil where it needs to go.
