Oil & Fuel Oil/Fluid Leak Rear End 1952 IH Farmall Super A

I had been working on the Steering Box of our 1952 Farmall Super A and had the front end slightly elevated -- I had to suspend the work for a month while our Grandsons visited and have noticed a lot of oil/fluid in the large drip pan under the rear of the tractor. There is strong evidence of the leak on the inner sidewall of the left rear tire but the leak looks like it is in the Final Drive Housing area--I know I need to replace both brake bands, so I know I have to pull both rear wheels. Any ideas where/how I start looking for the leak and how to go about it? bogie
