Backhoe Oil for backhoe ?

I have a kb80 hoe, manual says to use 10w40 w/"sd" rating, can I use rotella t 15w40?

Do you mean a kioti kb2385.

Never heard of it.
Also don't recall ever seeing it listed on the Kioti website or sales fliers

Wallace - Its an older model Kioti hoe... I acutally have a part manual for it.... Its a very old hoe...

wanasrx - I wouldn't waste the money for Rotella-T just use an engine oil 10w40. Our skid loaders use an engine 10w-30 for its hyd oil.

I would use either the motor oil or use the same hydro oil you use in your tractor.
That backhoe is definitely old.

What does everyone use for hyd. oil?
How old do you think it is?(she still seems to work good) The tractor can't be older than a 93' , yes?

If you BH has motor oil in it now I would keep using a motor oil in it.

As far as the tractor we use a high quality UTF "Universal Tractor Fluid" that is rated for both hyd and transmissions. We use Allied brand fluids here only because we are a dealer for them. There are alot of good brands out there though.

What model tractor and loader do you have?
