oil in a ford 535

Could anyone please tell me what the crankcase oil capacity is on a ford 535 tractor? Thanks, Jeff

That would be 6 quarts plus 1 for the filter.

Are you sure? It's a rather large tractor with a backhoe attachment and front bucket. The only reason i ask is my ford f250 diesel takes alot more than that. Did i mention that the tractor is a diesel?

It's a 3 cylinder engine. 7 qts is correct.

there's almost nothing in common with that f250 with 6.0 or 7.3 diesel and that industrial machine.

15qts make sthe truck happy it it's a 6.0

I found out the problem... Someone(i don't know who, but i suspect it was someone who borrowed it) FILLED it with oil. I mean right to the VERY top of the dip stick!!! I drained the oil and when i unscrewd the plug, oil shot out about 3 feet!!!! I put 7 qts. plus a filter on and walla... no more oil coming out !!!

didja check the drain oil for water emulsion?
