I have a good supply of this oil and use this in my Diesel pickup,"Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-40 is a fully synthetic supreme performance heavy duty diesel engine oil" I have a 1995 Kubota L4200, B3030 and a RTV900, all that are Diesel's,I would like to use in the above Kubota's and stock only one oil type. Does anyone use this oil in their Kubota's, any risk? Should I contact Kubota, or Mobil.

Sir
I have used diesel oil in gasoline engines with no problems. Study the SAE logo on the back of oil bottles and understand CF = compression ( diesel ) SG = spark ( gasoline ). It is the grading system. Study it well and you will learn how the oil is graded.

That oil is top drawer. I'd not be concerned an iota in using it in everything I own, from a lawn mower, auto, truck or tractor. Is it not Mobil's best oil?
Exxon/Mobil is the world's largest corporation with the deepest pockets for R&D. Sleep well.

I too have some left over Delvac oil from my 6.2 truck. I sure hope it doen't cause any additional leaks? I am just a little shy to try it with 730 hours, but the engine top proved to be pretty clean on this inspection. So I am thinking hard about, as it is some of the highest rated oils. JY

I use Delvac one in all my tractors and pickup, and have for years. I have a friend in Alaska that does excavation and he turned me on to Delvac one. He uses it in his cats and graders. Said it is the best there is. It is not cheap but it is good.

There is only one oil on my shelf and it goes in EVERYTHING. Gasoline engines, diesel engines, small engines, large engines, new engines, old engines. That oil is Mobil 1 5w-40. Philip.

Those of us that haven't been using diesel for a long time...what was the final vote when it came to oil type to be used??? Like any new tractor owner...I'm racking up time fast and will come up on the first oil change soon with all the good weather, long project list and a machine that can do the job. I've used Mobil 5W-40 for everything for a long time...is this synthetic that much better in that it will lead to longer engine life etc???

Use it and relax. Your Kubota will love it like all your other diesels.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Beginners sometimes miss the fact that their tractor needs diesel rated oil. Buying DIESEL rated oil is more important than whether it is synthetic or not. Changing the oil/filter every year is also more important than whether is synthetic or not.

Yet,.... the modern synthetics allow the engine to run a few degrees cooler, purport to lubricate better, and do flow faster in cold start up.

They also cost more. It's the buyers choice. Dino or Synthetic. World won't stop spinning either way.
