oil is oil

met a guy once that never changed oil in his car 150,000 + miles. said it was the wrong thing to do. he would just add oil every now and then when it needed it :O

I think that guy was my Dad. only in his later years did he ever shedule an oil change for his Cars. When i was a teenager, changing oil as often as i could ( i still do it in excess ), Dad never changed his oil, ran the cars dry once or twice, never blew a motor up, and all his cars went over 300,000 KM. he was so gentle on them when driving, that had to be the only reason they survived. Once he even asked me to put the used motor oil from my car into his since it had to b e cleaner than what was in his at the time....i didnt. What a character, he's gone now...still love ya Dad !

They get reeaaalll wound up on their oil issues. I allways like the folks that say you better use such and such{example, honda oil for honda, yamaha oil for yamaha} or your bike will blow up

My dad did the same thing would take the old vehicle oil and use it in the old 8n.
