Oil leak question...

I have a bx2660 with 72 hours that I bought new last summer (traded my bx2200 in).

I was wondering what anyone's thoughts were regarding a small hydraulic leak I have. It is near the back right tire and seems to be coming out of the transmission at the bottom. It is a slow leak, I see it on the floor after the tractor has been parked for a couple of days.

So the question is .. is this worth trying to have fixed via warranty ?

Yes worth fixing. The bigger question will be, will the dealer fix it, or give you the run-around? 'Ahh, they all leak a little'.

I'd take a close look first, make sure it's leaking there and not the loader valve or something. May just be a fitting that needs snugged up.

I would make every attempt possible to have it fixed. My dealer, Davis Farm Supply called to let me know my warranty was to expire soon and wanted to make sure any issues were resolved while under warranty; fortunately there were non. You can't beat product support like that.

Thanks to both of you for the quick response. I guess I'll be reading through the warranty tonight to see what it has to see about this type of stuff .. after I check the bolts around the leak.

I can't look at it right now 'cause I'm at work, but it seems to me I didn't have any leaks until I did the 50 hour change (and I did change the hydraulics). I think the drain plug is right in that area too .. I'll be lookin'. thanks again.
