Farm Pro 2420
Greetings,

I am changing the fluids in a Farm Pro 2420. I feel foolish for asking a simple question, but where does the oil go into? I have provided two pictures. The one with 2 arrow is the top of the engine and the one with only 1 arrow is on the left side of the tractor by the fuel injector pump. Can someone tell me where the 15-40W engine oil goes in and what is the other one? Compressor oil?

Thanks!
Mike

In the first pic with two arrows use the one on the left. This is the valve cover, and I actually suspect you could use either or both arrows. I'll speculate that the arrow on the right is for checking/adjusting a compression release if so equipped. The second pic is also where engine oil can be added. This goes through the timing gear case and into the sump. Who uses compressor oil, and where? If you're referring to the fuel injection pump/governor - just use the same engine oil in it for the camshaft and lift pump. There are no attachments on that engine that even resemble the operation of a compressor - air or gaseous. The fuel injection pump has a dipstick on the governor, or a tattletale 6mm bolt on the side midway up the injection pump. This is a separate reservoir from the engine. There is a 6mm drain bolt on the bottom. It is usually filled through the breather on the top of the injection pump. Holds approx. 1/2 pint.
