I had a job change, no longer own 30 acres. I am looking to buy a home with about 2 to 4 and need some recommendations on smaller tractors (18 to 24 hp) that will have front snowblower capabilities and mowing capabilities and what to expect to spend on for the above mentioned. I also may hook up a splitter to it. I have to update my info. Sold the excavator and MF1533 :( but I love my new job. Fortunately we sold our home and have some money to buy another :). The homes we are looking at have 150 to 200 foot drives and are paved.

Thanks,

Puck

Kubota BX series would get the job done for you. They are very nifty machines. However when you mentioned splitter, i would recommend getting a standalone. There seems to be more advantages to having it seperate from your tractor. The BX series is good for homeowners under 5 acres to do whatever they need to do. Even the BX24/25 series is nice with the backhoe capability. With a 6 ft MMM mower deck, it sure will get the job done in no time at all. :)

Kubota BX Series.
Take it from a guy who owns not one or two but 3.

I would suggest you go to Tilton and see MB tractor. See Art Gilbert pretty sure he can show you something that will fit your need. They also have a nice line of log splitters there and I bought one from Art three years ago works great.

I have a B7610 HST that I am very happy with. 24HP engine. I use a 3pt snow blower but front mounts are available. I looked at the BX as well but decided to go with a tractor with larger diameter tires and more ground clearance. Better for what I use it for. If that isn't an issue for you then a BX would be a good choice, lots of people on here like them and they are Kubotas after all;).
I built a log splitter that I plug into the bucket roll quick disconnects. Not to start another discussion about splitters but for the amount I use it I didn't want the expense or maintenance of another engine.

John Deere 2320 is 24 HP and does what you want, including a drive-over mower deck. I don't think Kubota offers that simplicity in mowing yet. I would go for a stand-alone splitter. Has an 1100 lb loader capacity and 1400 lb (full) cat 1 hitch.

The new B 2x20 series Kubotas also have a drive over mower deck.

Kubota had drive-over mower decks 20 or 25 years ago.
For some reason they got away from them.
May be it was because they aren't such a hot idea.

Yep kubota does offer it. I've got a B2620 with the drive over mower.

I think you may have something there LBrown. I can't find a real big advantage in my drive over. Perhaps it you have a narrow garage and can't slide it out the side it may be usefull.
