Andy, I'll admit that even I don't recognize that one. And Dusty, those Cleveland cops sure had better cars than Dallas had to start with.:D

That is one of Chrysler's biggest flops in car manufacturing. It is a 1934 Chrysler Airflow. A car that was way ahead of its time, and wasn't well received by the buying public. It was supposed to be aerodynamic, but it actually wasn't much better than the other cars being produced at the time. Today, they are highly sought after collector cars. It sort of looks like a proto type PT Cruiser in full size.:D

Dusty, you are VERY close... that particular photo was a 1934 DeSoto Airflow.

It is all relative to your age. To old geezers like Bird and myself, those are just modern iron. To AndyM, a Mustang is a old car. For some, they don't know what is old or new to them because they have a difficult time remembering yesterday. Every day is a new experience digging up old posts as if they were just posted.:D :D
PS... I had a XKE Roadster back in 1965. A red one at that!

Who belongs to these?

Hi LB!

“Who belongs to these” was the right question considering the work involved! I’ve had the E-Type since 1978 and just finished it’s second restoration. The Cobra is a 1966 427 replica I built and continue to modify as the years progress. With a dyno reading of 497 HP in a car that weights just over 2,300 pounds….it’s more like an earthbound rocket than a car. Of course, the bride and I just like to “put-put” past pimple faced kids on our Sunday rides. :p Yep, this old age retirement stuff is OK!:D

Ken

I remember seeing a remarkably similar car this fall, might have been somewhere around Derby. There can't be two of those out and about.
