It's probably 60 years old and the hose is cracking, it still works and I want to keep it. I took it off and went to NAPA to get a replacement but the threads are different now. Either my gun had pipe threads or all the new ones do. Would there be adapters which would allow me to change to the newer hose and not be to cumbersome?

Thanks for your time.

P.S. almost forgot. Is lithium grease ok to use on Kioti? It grey looking. It was what I had when it was time to grease and I live in the boonies.

Most newer grease guns use 1/8 npt (national pipe thread). I'm not sure what your gun has but I'm sure you can find an adapter. The lithium grease would be ok. Just keep it greased well which will push out any water or dirt that may enter the joints.

Thanks Vic, guess I need to visit a hardware store or plumbing store.

After you get a new hose for it, put a LocknLube coupler on the hose .

Here is mine.

Read all about it here: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/oil-fuel-lubricants/304889-locknlube-cupler-grease-gun.html

And here: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/307933-review-locknlube-grease-gun-coupler.html

Used it on the wheels on the mower deck today. Raised the deck, locked it on, started pumping while moving the gun back and forth causing the wheel to rotate a half turn back and forth. Made it easy to see the grease come out around the axle.

I like the lock-n-lube too: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-owning-operating/313946-stuff-i-like-grease-coupler.html

In addition to saving grease. the lock-n-lube coupler really cuts down on the mess. I believe zerk fittings from Korea, Italy, the US, etc. are not really standard when it comes to the size of the nipple. With the lock-n-lube this doesn't matter. The cost of this coupler is high (compared to the stock item) but cheap compared to all the clothes ruined by escaped grease. With a tractor (especially with a loader) a lot of greasing is needed (like every 10 hours on the loader, 20 hours on the mower, and 50 hours on the rest of the tractor).
