The learning curve seems to get a little steeper for me each week. When I attached the old 2-bottom Dearborn plow I purchased 3 weeks ago to my L3010HST I did not get it lined up correctly. After several passes in the field turning over a cover crop I raised the plow up higher than or previous turns and the iron that the front coulter hangs on bent the adjustable lifting arm on my 3-pt hitch.
The lifting arm would no longer raise up or down with the crank. I called my dealer and asked for the adjustable lift arm assembly. He laughed and said you're going to want to repair the one you have. I asked how much and he said a new assembly costs $561. He was correct I did want to do the repair.
I took the lift arm assembly apart and found two pieces damaged. The replacement parts were a total of $183 and I am still waiting for them. Should be in this week
This post will be my 10th and should take me from "new member" status to "member". I hope the other "new member" out there don't have to pay the same dues that I did.
