Old McCULLOCH Needs Some Attention

Mine has a 20" bar. Once I get it started (usually have to use starting fluid) it will cut like crazy! Got tired of messing with it and got a new saw. 20 some years old.

54cc, at least by today's standards, makes it a fairly big saw. I think my Husky 55 is only 40-some cc's and it's pretty strong.

I used earlier model Mac saws than this one and always had pretty good luck with them, but as another poster pointed out, chainsaws are just about a throw-away commodity any more. Unless there is sentimental or nostalgic value to be had, you're better off investing in a new saw. $150 2006 dollars will buy what took $300 or more back in the day.

Ah, those were the days. Mac's and Homelite XL-12's.
