So I changed my common sump hydraulic fluid back in the winter on my massy 1540. My problem is, the backhoe wasn稚 on. I now want to use the backhoe, but if I attach it, I connect all the old oil in the backhoe, in my new oil in the tractor.
I know, it is not a big deal, but I would like to get the backhoe fluid free so I sleep better.
Any suggestions?

If you want to really do so, connect the supply up for the backhoe. For the return, get several 5 gal buckets and run the return hose opened ended into the bucket to collect the ‘old’ fluid. You will need to operate all hydraulic functions on the backhoe until fluid runs clear from each in both operational directions of the function. (Some of the old fluid will likely remain just ad you did not get 100% out of the tractor). Be sure to add fluid to your reservoir as you pump fluid out of the backhoe. I doubt that the return line will suck fluid into the reservoir as it pushes it into the buckets.
