I'm not an expert, but I did buy a '68 Malibu Sport Coupe new in 1967. I'm gonna guess your's is a '70. Am I close?

You're exactly right on the year, Jim. It's a 1970 Buick Skylark Custom, but I've done most of what it took to make it into a GSX tribute.

Those also look like the original Buick mag wheels. They were very distintive as I remember. I also believe that in '71 or '72, they dropped the dual headlights and went to a single for a few years before coming out with the rectangular duals and singles.

Your memory serves you well, Jim! They are the original wheels. The body style was similar from 68-72, then in '73 they went to the single headlights. Parts are hard to find up here without them being rusted out, so about 3 years ago I went on a parts scouting trip down to Long Island and Philadelphia to get the wheels, GS hood, and some other goodies.
. I've got refinished front and rear bumpers here now waiting to be installed, as well as a front chin spoiler and the dual snorkle air cleaner - when I find the time! Now that the good weather is finally here, I've been busy in the yard getting the veggie garden planted (May 24th weekend is the traditional planting weekend up here) and a few flower gardens created in the yard. Trying to make hay while the sun shines!
