Old style Yanmar fuel injectors YM336d

OK, we've finally got the tractor dug out after the flood and it's time to pull the injectors. But how does one pull an injector out? These seem to be well stuck and so are the studs that mount the hold-down ring, so I can't get a wrench on the body. The workshop manual doesn't give any hints on stuck injectors and I'm reluctant to just use more force.
Anyone have any ideas?
