I have a few old tractors that I got from my grandfather. One is a JD 110 that has been sitting for I know at least 15 years. What should I do to clean the gas tank, carb and fuel lines out. Also, I am worried about when I start cranking this thing that it will lock up. I have changed the oil and it spins freely. Any thoughts?? Thanks.

It wouldn't hurt clean fuel system as you said.

Also check for bad wires etc.

Could remove spark plug than short cranks.

I'd also squirt a bit of oil in each cylinder and turn it over with the plugs out to get some lub on the cylinder walls and the rings.

Toadhill is correct about the major worry. Sometimes the rings get seized in place and making sure they are free is something you want to do.

Shoot some tranny fluid into the spark plug holes.

Does it have old fuel in it? If so, you may be looking at a total re-build of the fuel system. You may get lucky and only need a little carb spray.
