older CASE 44 series

Hey all. Wondering if anyone has any input on the older case 442,446 448,
lawn tractors? Good units? parts still available for them , attachments still available for them? Etc. Any info on these would be greatly appreicated.

I had a 446 back when they were still 2-tone paint. Tough tractors. Mine had an Onan engine which was a problem from the start. I swapped it out for a Kohler(stock in the 444), and had good luck with the combination. I bought a never-used 30" Deutz-Allis rototiller for $200, expanded it to 44" and ran it off the hydraulics. Worked good, but if you caught a root or rock, all the oil went to the rear tires and it would take off like a rocket!! Also, they wouldn't hold back going downhill very well. I ran the heck out of it, and it did pretty good. The old mower decks weren't very good. I sold mine and used my JD to mow. I had plenty of other jobs to keep the Case busy.
